Pass protection and Football IQ are tremendous. Incredible leader up front with pre-snap communication and recognition of the defense. Technique is solid and relies on early leverage and good blocking angles to win. | Not a road grader in the run game. Doesn’t have the ability to split a defense in half and will need to add some NFL play strength. There’s a lack of finish or short-yardage confidence there. |
OVERVIEW: The top center in this draft class, which is one of the weakest for the position as of late. However, Majors still presents legitimate NFL upside and was a constant for the Longhorns over 56 starts. He was a finalist for the Campbell Trophy, given to the player with the best combination of academics, community service and on-field performance, an elite list. He's blocked for some great runners like Bijan Robinson and Jonathan Brooks, but shows more promise as a pass blocker at center for teams at the next level.
