Extremely powerful and sound guard prospect. Wins with his hands and his leverage. Plays with ideal pad level and keeps his footwork clean enough to reset or recover. Has jarring first-step quickness that pairs great with his powerful hands. | Significant injury history is a concern, having missed at least some time during each of his last four seasons. Needs to be in a phone booth, doesn’t move well in space and can be overaggressive in run blocking schemes. |
OVERVIEW: Despite missing four games due to injury, Ratledge wound up as an All-American anyway. His dominance on the Bulldogs' offensive line was enough to jump-start the Georgia front in some big games, including Tennessee, Texas and Ole Miss. He allowed just seven pressures over his 500 total snaps and 311 pass blocking snaps. Experience is a plus, and his technique is sound, but he'll need to show more durability and improvement in space if he hopes to be a long-term option inside.
