2025 NFL Draft Cornerback Prospects

For all the talk about positions the Cowboys have to address in the upcoming draft, there’s one particular area that may be getting overlooked. Sure, Dallas should get a defensive lineman (or two) and running back is certainly a need, but don’t forget about cornerback. This could actually be a real issue for the 2025 squad. For the second straight year, Trevon Diggs will be coming off knee surgery, but youngsters Caelen Carson and Josh Butler ended their 2024 campaigns on injured reserve as well. And the most consistent corner on the roster a season ago, Jourdan Lewis, decided to take his much-needed services elsewhere, signing as a free agent with Jacksonville. In fact, although the Cowboys did acquire Kaiir Elam in a trade with Buffalo, the only sure thing at cornerback right now seems to be DaRon Bland. Otherwise, there are sizable question marks about who will be ready to start and who will provide depth at a position that is vital to finding success in the pass-happy NFL. Given that, cornerback is certainly an area that can’t be overlooked.
