Muhammad has track speed with a refined skill set for the position. Is able to adjust with step-and-drive technique and flips his hips with ease. Very smooth mover for someone with straight-line speed. Solid tackler for his size. | Not overly physical because of his size limitations. Most likely confined to the slot and may have to play well on special teams for early playing time. Gets washed off the line of scrimmage versus the screen game or run game. |
OVERVIEW: Muhammad played his prep football at DeSoto High School, a Texas powerhouse located just south of Dallas, and earned early college attention. So much so that he stayed at the Power 4 level throughout his collegiate career despite three different stops – first at Oklahoma State and then as an All-Pac 12 performer at Washington before finishing his career with Oregon. It appears all three schools allowed him to refine his skills and gave him the opportunity to get better across the board.
