OVERVIEW: Hairston achieved a rare feat among top prospects in today's era of college football – he waited his turn and it paid off in a big way. After being limited to special teams snaps for his first two years on campus, he finally earned a starting spot in 2023 and burst onto the scene. He led the SEC with five interceptions, three of which were returned for touchdowns, leading to All-America and All-SEC accolades. His 2024 season was nearly as productive despite only playing in seven games, earning All-SEC second-team honors.
