Outstanding understanding of the game and the ways that receivers need to win. Stays sticky in coverage and possesses elite change-of-direction skills. Incredible footwork and fluid hips allow him to keep pace. | Will get in trouble with bait techniques and rely on athleticism to make up ground. Not the best tackler on the field. Will suffer from increased physicality of NFL ball carriers. |
OVERVIEW: Hunter is one of the most decorated and accomplished college football players of all-time. Winner of the 2024 Heisman Trophy and the Walter Camp, Chuck Bednarik and Fred Biletnikoff Awards as well as the Lott Trophy. What makes Hunter special is that he plays both wide receiver and cornerback at a high level separately. As a cornerback, he's extremely fluid and fundamentally sound, allowing for swift moments and the ability to close on the ball.
