---|---|
Versatile edge rusher who can put a hand on the ground and stand up before the snap. Explosive first step and quickness. Packs a punch upon first contact and has the upper-body strength to get blockers off balance. | Considered to be a bit of a tweener with his frame. Weight ranks toward the bottom of edge rushers. Very limited in his pass-rushing moves. Has to improve his hands. |
OVERVIEW: Out of the 329 draft prospects invited to the 2025 NFL Scouting Combine, Walker was not one of them, which makes him a true under-the-radar prospect despite his production in both the SEC and in the East-West Shrine Bowl. Walker finished his 2024 season with 9.5 sacks, including 8.5 over his final seven games, and 12.5 tackles for loss. He had multi-sack performances against Alabama and Iowa before tallying two sacks and dominating the Shrine Bowl in Arlington, Texas. It was a shame not to see him invited to Indianapolis.
