Athletic profile and explosive first-step quickness helped him beat blockers to the spot. Kept good pad level and showcased powerful punch that would stun offensive linemen. Athletic enough to win with a variety of pass-rush moves. | A little undersized for the position, though there are some in the league with his profile. Arm length limits ability to shed blocks. Doesn’t finish the way his motor might suggest. Takes inconsistent angles to the football. |
OVERVIEW: After four years with the Duke Blue Devils, three as a starting defensive tackle, Peebles made the jump to Virginia Tech. He showed his consistency could remain across multiple programs and systems by dominating the ACC as an athletic 3-technique. He led the conference and ranked fifth in the nation among defensive tackles with 35 pressures while also recording 6.5 tackles for loss and three sacks, an effort that earned him first-team All-ACC honors.
