Imposing size and incredible wing span (84½ inches) to go along with some impressive mobility. Manhandles blockers one-on-one and takes up multiple gaps with his frame. Uses his bull rush to clog up the line of scrimmage. | Questions about his motor have lingered. Will take plays off and recuperate, possibly due to poor conditioning. Needs to add more pass-rushing moves and improve his hand placement. |
OVERVIEW: It didn't take long for Walker to make an impact in Lexington. He took over the starting defensive tackle spot early in his freshman season, which led to All-SEC and Freshman All-America honors in 2022. He followed that up with an even better sophomore year when he was also named a team captain for the season by his coaches and peers. Then as a junior in 2024, he continued his dominance of the SEC by earning his third-straight All-Conference recognition. Overall, the natural ability is there, the production is there, but will Walker's conditioning be enough?
