Great awareness and vision when it comes to reading rushing attacks. Does a good job of taking up multiple gaps and is strong enough to beat double-teams. Strong lower half helps with great balance and power when driving. | Shorter arms (32 inches) affect his ability to break from containment. His pad level still remained high in 2024. Would lose leverage and took too long to break off those blocks. |
OVERVIEW: Big-bodied defensive tackle who could fit as a run-stuffing 3-tech or an overly athletic 1-tech. Upon arrival in Columbus, Williams weighed over 360 pounds and was in poor conditioning shape. However, give the Buckeyes' strength and conditioning staff a lot of credit, he dropped to 325 pounds and was an athletic juggernaut. He showcased that at the NFL Scouting Combine, weighing in at 334 pounds but in fantastic shape. Teams will be excited to see his combination of experience, versatility and athleticism at the next level.
