Fundamentally sound and possesses plenty of play strength. Moves his feet well in space and gets out of his stance with ease. Sets hands well upon first contact and gets good pad level and leverage on stronger edge rushers. | Allowed 10 pressures in 2024 and almost all of them were in recovery situations. Failed to reset hands and fell behind on footwork. Room to grow in run blocking, was stiff at times. |
OVERVIEW: The Longhorns don't make their return to prominence over the last few years without their dominant offensive line. And the leader of that offensive line was undoubtedly Kelvin Banks Jr., who tallied over 850 snaps at left tackle over each of the last three seasons. Some teams around the league may view Banks as a potential move to guard, but his track record against some of the best defenders in the country speaks loudly for his ability to play tackle. Either way, his versatility and solid tape will bring value to his draft stock in April.
