Ersery has exceptional anchor ability. Plants and pins defenders and uses his wingspan effectively. Football IQ is apparent with well-timed combo blocks and the pick up of stunts. Finishes the play. Wants to put defenders in the dirt. | Length measured lower than anticipated at the NFL Scouting Combine, looks longer on tape. Doesn’t explode off his step and when he did, it led to overrunning his sets in run blocking. Caught up in the wash at times. |
OVERVIEW: Minnesota's season was a success because of solid offensive line play across the board. Ersery was the main-stay, anchoring the unit to the tune of 38 straight starts at left tackle to end his college career. He allowed just one sack over his final season. When pairing his experience and overall build, he fits the mold for what teams are looking for up front. Durability and teachability. It's very possible Ersery's best football is still ahead of him.
