One of the more technically sound quarterbacks in the class. Played in three different systems and still found success. Has an ability to read defenses and perfect his intermediate ball placement. Quick release and good pocket presence. | Undersized quarterback. Played bigger than his size in college, but there’s only so much you can do in the NFL. Doesn’t jump off the page athletically, despite smaller stature. |
OVERVIEW: Like he showcased on his helmet during Senior Bowl week, Dillon Gabriel had quite the journey from UCF to Oklahoma and then to Oregon. Despite three different systems (Pro Style, Air Raid and Spread), he ended his college career as the all-time FBS leader in total touchdowns (189) and was tied with Case Keenum for most passing touchdowns (155). Gabriel started 63 games and finished with 18,722 passing yards. If that's not impressive enough, he was an All-American and Heisman Trophy finalist during his one year with the Ducks.
