---|---|
Bona fide leader of his program. Strong arm with good zip on his passes but also elite speed and elusiveness for the quarterback position. Reads the game at a high level and understands some complex defensive looks. | Limitations on throws that need finesse, like the short to intermediate game and different times in the red zone. Ball placement hindered big gains and his receivers’ success at times. |
OVERVIEW: Milroe arrived in Tuscaloosa after becoming one of the nation's most coveted dual-threat recruits. From there, he waited his turn through 2021 and 2022, largely backing up Bryce Young. After winning the 2023 Campbell Trophy (college football's top academic honor) and being a main contributor to the Crimson Tide's trip to the 2023 College Football Playoff, Milroe finished his Alabama career with more than 6,000 passing yards while totaling 45 passing touchdowns and 33 rushing scores. That included 20 on the ground in his final season.
COMPARISON: Jalen Hurts
