OVERVIEW: Leonard grew up in southern Alabama and was just as known for his basketball talent as he was his football skills. Well, he wound up at a "basketball school" in Duke and returned some of the shine to the Blue Devils football program. Leonard won the starting job as a sophomore in 2022, helping Duke to a nine-win season and Military Bowl win. His 2023 season was cut short due to a toe injury, and he shortly thereafter transferred to Notre Dame. He then led the Fighting Irish to a 14-win season and an appearance in the National Championship Game.
