Extremely high football IQ and processing ability. Knows how to read a defense and where to attack it. Can throw to every level. Strong pocket presence with the ability to avoid pressure. | Not overly athletic. Had only one season with over 350 yards rushing during his four as a starter at Memphis. Will hurry throws to the boundary and flutter the deep ball at times. Footwork tends to get worse as the play develops. |
OVERVIEW: While there are some significant knocks to his fit at the next level, at some point teams will have to respect his résumé of production and loyalty. Originally from Denton, Texas, Henigan led Ryan High School to a 5A Division 1 State title and a 44-2 record under his dad, who was head coach. He then took the Memphis starting job as a freshman and never let it go. Fifty games, 104 touchdowns and over 14,000 yards later (all school records), he'll make the jump to the NFL. For teams that are bargain shopping for a possible lottery ticket, Henigan would fit the mold.
