Burst and acceleration are tremendous. Is nearly as effective in the run game as he is receiving. Great balance and bounces off tackles. Teammates raved about his leadership and work ethic. | An undersized frame limits the physicality he can bring. Confined to being a finesse player and is a liability in pass protection. He put the ball on the ground a couple of times in big situations with fumbles or drops. |
OVERVIEW: It would be tough to find a more impressive start to the season than what Sampson showed on the ground. In his first 10 games, he scored at least one touchdown and finished under 100 rushing yards only once. He reached the end zone nine times and led the SEC in that category after just three games, finishing with 22 rushing scores on the season. Sampson was highly touted among his peers and viewed as a leader throughout the Knoxville community. If his performance on the field continues, he could be set up to lead an NFL franchise.
