PRO CON
Extremely smart and calculated football player. Reed makes the right read and attacks ball carriers with a thump. Recognizes run fits and has the ability to plug a gap. Good acceleration to the ball. Brings a special teams background. Long speed and consistent motor became a problem at times. Would struggle in coverage and sometimes lose in man coverage, especially over the middle. Had trouble sticking with the quicker pass catchers.

OVERVIEW: Alongside teammate Kevin Winston Jr., Reed was another Penn State safety who took the Big Ten by storm over the last few seasons. Unlike Winston, though, Reed enters the NFL with plenty of experience and little injury concern. During his tenure with the Nittany Lions, he logged over 1,971 snaps and lined up all over the Penn State defense. In his final season, he logged 74 tackles and helped fill multiple holes when Winston went down due to injury.
