PRO CON
Downhill player that packs a punch in the box. Athletic talent was always his calling card, but showed big jumps in the way he processed movement later in his career. Good in change of direction, able to shadow receivers and tight ends. Times on tape where his downhill play gets him in trouble, missing tackles, taking wrong angles. Relies on quick-twitch ability to make up ground after missteps in coverage. Testing at the combine didn’t live up to the tape.

OVERVIEW: Ranked as the nation's top athlete and given five stars out of high school, Starks lived up to the expectations and was a three-year starter for the Bulldogs defense. He was an impact Freshman All-American on the 2022 national championship team, and then went on to be named an All-American in both 2023 and 2024. Starks led the team in tackles last season with 77, including four for loss. He has all the athletic tools to be successful in an NFL secondary but has to continue sharpening his craft.
