Speed and physicality allow him to play all over the secondary. Elite athleticism shown at the scouting combine, especially in vertical and broad jumps. Lengthy frame with good ball skills and solid tackling technique. | Change of direction could use some work. Tight hips hinder his ability to keep up with the quicker pass catchers. Hesitates at times when deciding to run downhill. |
OVERVIEW: From nearby Irmo, South Carolina, Emmanwori was set on playing for the Gamecocks, even as a three-star defensive recruit. In high school, he played all over the field, including middle linebacker, but he took the starting safety job as a freshman in Columbia. Over his three seasons, he tallied 215 tackles and six interceptions, including four in his final year. He was tabbed a unanimous first-team All-SEC safety in 2024 and named South Carolina's defensive MVP. His skill set could have him prepared to play all over the defense, but he'll fit best as a strong safety.
