OXNARD, Calif. – The Cowboys' defensive line should get some reinforcements when practice gears up Tuesday afternoon.
The trio of Tyrone Crawford, Terrell McClain and Cedric Thornton are expected to practice after having some time off to recuperate. Tuesday will actually serve as Crawford's first padded practice, as he's been dealing with back soreness since the start of camp.
"It's hard to say where he's at right now, because he hasn't done anything," said defensive coordinator Rod Marinelli. "But I'm expecting – off his OTAs and stuff – I like a lot of the things. He's a veteran, it's his third year going in and playing the position. He knows the demands of the position."
McClain has missed the past several days of practice with soreness in his toe, while Thornton missed multiple practices with an illness.
"It was very frustrating being in the room, just sitting there and knowing my teammates were out here grinding without me," Thornton said. "Every day was frustrating, being in the room and getting better – but our athletic trainers did a great job."
