For the sixth consecutive year, the college football season will begin with a marquee matchup in the AdvoCare Cowboys Classic at AT&T Stadium on Saturday, August 30, featuring the 2013 National Champion Florida State Seminoles and last season's Big XII Conference runner-up the Oklahoma State Cowboys. The game will be nationally televised on ABC at 7:00 pm.
Tickets are available at ticketmaster.com or by calling 1-800-745-3000.
Oklahoma State makes its third trip to AT&T Stadium after playing in two AT&T Cotton Bowl Classics - a 21-7 loss to Ole Miss in the first-ever Cotton Bowl held at the stadium in 2010, and a 41-31 loss to Missouri in the 2014 game. This will be the first appearance for Florida State at AT&T Stadium. The Seminoles are led by 2013 Heisman Trophy winner Jameis Winston, who returns for his sophomore season.
This marks the fifth time the schools have played each other with the Seminoles leading the all-time series 3-1. The 2014 match-up between the Seminoles and Cowboys will be the first meeting between these two schools since the 1985 Gator Bowl when Florida State earned a 34-23 victory. It also marks the third meeting between the two schools at a neutral site.
This season the AdvoCare Cowboys Classic enters its sixth year of a long-term agreement between ESPN and AT&T Stadium to bring a top college football game to Arlington, Texas, during the Labor Day holiday weekend.
