IRVING, Texas – Tickets are still available for a men's and women's basketball doubleheader between Baylor and Kentucky on Dec. 6 at AT&T Stadium.
The games will be televised on ESPN as part of the coverage of this year's inaugural Big 12/SEC Challenge. A single ticket will buy admittance to both games.
The first game, which begins at 6:30 p.m., will be a battle between two women's programs currently ranked in the top 10. No. 9 Baylor is currently 4-0 while No. 7 Kentucky is 5-0.
The men's game will follow at 9 p.m. and is also a matchup between currently-ranked squads. The No. 20 Bears are presently 4-0, while the No. 4 Wildcats are 4-1 after losing to No. 2 Michigan State to lose their preseason No. 1 ranking. [embedded_ad]
This is actually the third-straight year the Kentucky and Baylor's men's teams have played. Kentucky topped Baylor in the Elite Eight of the 2012 NCAA tournament, on its way to a national championship.
The Bears got the upper hand in last season's matchup, where they snapped the Wildcats' 55-game home winning streak with a 64-55 win at Rupp Arena in Lexington, Ky.
The doubleheader is just another in a series of big basketball events for AT&T Stadium. The arena hosted a regional of last spring's NCAA tournament, highlighted by Michigan's dramatic victory against Kansas.
AT&T Stadium is also the site of this year's NCAA tournament Final Four. The Final Four also follows the same format as this December doubleheader, allowing the stadium crew preparation.
