Tuesday Notes: Inching Closer To Playoffs

The trio of Roy Williams, Keith Davis and Pat Watkins continue to give the Cowboys fits when playing a Cover 2, and especially in their nickel package.

"This is the same thing that's been happening since I've been here - I don't look at it as a threat," Davis said. "It's no sweat off my back. You could look at it as a slap in the face, which is not my attitude. I look at it like they're bringing someone in to push me, make me better, and that's fine."

"I can say that the Cowboys, when they have released me, Coach Parcells told me, 'It's nothing you've done wrong,' so he hasn't lied to me," Green said. "It's just something that had to be done, and I believe him."

"You've got to rush, you've got to play him like a quarterback, but when you get to him you've got to tackle him like a running back," Ferguson said. "It's going to take more than one guy to get some pressure on him."
**

"To see something like that, it makes you think about how fortunate we are," Reeves said. "It's a good deal."
**

"I saw a little bit of it, I didn't get to look into it, but I saw one picture. Pretty impressive," Reeves said. "You don't want to play in a rat hole."

The Falcons finished the game with fullback Justin Griffin handling the running back duties, but on Monday worked out five free agents, including Quentin Griffin, Fred Beasley and Harold Morrow.
