FRISCO, Texas – Two months after an incident at a bar in Panama City Beach, Fla., Tyrone Crawford has been charged with a misdemeanor count of unlawful assembly.
Per reports, online records indicate that Crawford was charged March 28 and has plead not guilty. The charge stems from an incident in which Crawford allegedly threw punches during a bar fight at Coyote Ugly.
It remains to be seen what, if any legal ramifications stem from this. Crawford has a pre-trial hearing scheduled for June 13.
As has been well-documented by this point, the NFL often operates independently of the justice system. It's possible Crawford could face league discipline for running afoul of the personal conduct policy, although the NFL has not commented on the matter at this time.
Crawford has been with the Cowboys since 2012, when he was drafted in the third round out of Boise State. He has been a team captain since 2017.
