- The Cowboys notched three rushing touchdowns Thursday - the first three rushing-touchdown game since the Cowboys Stadium opener against the N.Y. Giants on Sept. 20, 2009. * The 57 total points scored today were good for the seventh-most in the Cowboys' Thanksgiving Day matchups. * Between the two teams, 871 yards of offense was racked up - New Orleans, 414 and Dallas, 457. The 871 total yards was the third-most in a Cowboys Thanksgiving Day game. * Miles Austin had a 60-yard touchdown rush in the third quarter, which was the second-longest run by a wide receiver in Cowboys history. Kelvin Edwards has the longest with a 62-yard touchdown run against Philadelphia on Oct. 11, 1987. It was also Austin's first career touchdown rush. * David Buehler connected on a 53-yard field goal in the second quarter. It was the longest field goal by a Cowboy since Nick Folk hit a 53-yarder at Buffalo on Oct. 8, 2007. * Jon Kitna completed 30-of-42 passes (71.4%) for 313 yards. His 71.4 completion percentage was the sixth highest by a Dallas quarterback on Thanksgiving Day. * Kitna's 313 passing yards marked his first 300-yard outing in his third Thanksgiving Day game. He had two Thanksgiving starts while with Detroit (2006 and 2007). It was his third 300-yard game of the season, the 14th of his career and the eighth by a Dallas quarterback on Thanksgiving Day. * Kitna's 42 attempts upped his career pass attempts total to 4,314 and allowed him to pass Randall Cunningham (4,289) for 34th in league history. His 30 completions today upped his career completions total to 2,592 and allowed him to pass Phil Simms (2,576) for 29th all-time. * In throwing for 313 yards, Kitna now has 28,829 passing yards for his career to pass Matt Hasselbeck (28,688) Len Dawson (28,711) and Rich Gannon (28,743) for 38th all-time. * Jason Witten caught 10 passes, marking the second time this season he reached double-digit receptions - 10 vs. Jacksonville on Oct. 31 - and the fourth time in his career. * Witten's 10 catches were the most in a Thanksgiving Day game in his career (eight games) - his previous high was nine against Denver on Nov. 24, 2005 - and tied for the third-most by a Cowboy on Thanksgiving Day.
