OXNARD, Calif. – The Cowboys signed free agent linebackers Darius Eubanks and Henoc Muamba after a scheduled workout Saturday, filling two roster exemptions created with defensive end Randy Gregory and linebacker Rolando McClain on the Reserve/Did Not Report list.
Eubanks spent time on the Cowboys' and Buccaneers' practice squads last season. Tampa Bay waived him in April. He appeared in nine games in 2013 with the Browns, recording 12 tackles.
Muamba appeared in 13 games for the Colts in 2014, making six tackles. He also has played for the CFL's Winnipeg Blue Bombers and Montreal Alouettes.
McClain, the Cowboys' starting middle linebacker the last two seasons, did not travel with the team to Oxnard on Thursday. He's facing a 10-game NFL suspension but is eligible to practice and play in preseason.
Second-year linebacker Damien Wilson will begin camp on the non-football injury (NFI) list with an eye injury. Rookie linebacker Jaylon Smith, the team's second-round pick, also will be placed on NFI as he continues to recover from the knee injury he suffered in his final college game at Notre Dame.
