THE PAST & THE FUTURE
Artist: Nathalia Silva
Description: On the left hand side you can see a bright character, that is the character that represents my past. It's colored in and cannot be changed, but the character on the right is in black and white meaning that there is still an opportunity to color it in. The character on the right represents my dreams and goals for my future. My dream is to graduate with my master's degree but also to graduate high school. I am excited to wear my caps and gowns, no matter what color they will be.
ISOLATION IS FLIPPED JOY
Artist: Yuxi Zhang
Description: I created a 3D drawing scene where children are playing with birds in a jungle. The boy on the bottom is sitting alone while the kids on the top are handing out together around a newborn bird. In this piece, I depicted the birds in yellow to represent the joy of companionship and the plants in green to represent the peacefulness of the mind. With this artwork, I want to convey the idea that people can still find their hearts peaceful without being around others as long as they identify their dreams.
GREEN EYE LOOKING UP
Artist: Amaniya Hayat
Description: This artwork is composed of a close up of a green eye looking upwards at something off the page. The close up angle provides an interesting perspective as the sole focus of the artwork is the eye itself become of how the color of the iris contrasts with the surrounding skin. This contrast is complemented by how the dark lashes act as a frame for the eyeball as it reflects the light of what it is looking at. This symbolizes how individuals look up to an unseen goal or a vision as a way of motivating themselves to achieve. In this way, individuals envision their dreams and make it a goal of theirs to achieve as they look forward to and yearn for it.
COLORFUL PARADISE

Description: Anyone who knows me well would know that out of all of the numerous artworks that I have made, this encapsulates my personality and my person flavor the most. The colors I used, as well as my facial expression of the portrait show brightness and happiness, a mindset that I try to maintain in my everyday life. I am an optimistic person who love to explore the world around me and help make others happy by staying positive. It also conveys my love for nature with the variety of tropical plants used and the colorful macaws. This artwork incorporates my dreams for the future. I want to travel the world and see beautiful places and settings like I depicted in my art. I also hope to maintain my positive attitude and continue to enjoy life.
