Rank’Em: 10 Best CBs To Face Cooper in 2019
The Cowboys have certainly upgraded their receiver position over the last 12 months, but Amari Cooper and the crew will have their share of battles in 2019. Here's a look at the 10 best cornerbacks on the Cowboys' schedule.

10. Josh Norman: Quick footed. Smooth player. Doesn't appear hurried or in a rush. Confident in his ability. Experience to handle routes. Will gamble to make a play. Knows how to carry his man. Has a feel for how to position himself. Is not going to let you get away from him. Likes to bang on his man down the field to keep position. Can be hit/miss as a tackler. Despite advancing age still commands your respect.

9. Marcus Peters: Easy movement. Quick in transition. Is one of those cornerbacks that tries to get in the receiver's head. Talks the entire game. Can be a 50/50 tackler. There are snaps where he will freelance in coverage. Plays to keep the ball in front of him. Scheme has him play a lot of zone coverage. Plays with his eyes. Will gamble on routes but does it with a purpose.

8. Trumaine Johnson: Doesn't get caught up in the trash. Is able to stay with his man across the field. Plays with start-stop quickness. Will carry his man out of the slot if he has to. Is a physical player in press man. Will battle his man off the line. Doesn't give much ground. Aware player to come off his man to help his teammates. Doesn't have an issues playing zone coverage. Reads the route and carries out his assignments.

7. TreDavious White: Will travel with the opponent's best receiver. Was occasionally asked to carry the tight end out of the slot. Quick footed player. Sees it and drives on the ball. Will contest the ball to the inside. Very competitive when the ball is thrown his direction. Maintains his position in route. Does a nice job of staying off the receiver. Ability to turn and run with his man. Is a willing tackler. Not weak in this area.

6. Xavier Rhodes: Ideal size for a corner. Length is impressive. Feet and hands work very well together. Finds the ball in flight. Plays the ball with his off hand. Comfortable covering the opponent's best player. Will come off his man to help his teammate in coverage. Outstanding awareness of the situation. Plays inside or out. Outstanding reactions. Will surprise you with how physical he will tackle.

5. Darius Slay: Stays in position. Super competitive. Sees the field well. Hard guy to fool on routes. Smart in the way he plays. Comfortable when it comes to running with receivers. Has a feel of how to play the ball in the air. Plays through the receiver to knock the ball away. Knows how to play with his off hand. Technique sound. Plays in balance.

4. Marshon Lattimore: Can turn and run with his man. Is not going to get left behind in coverage. Does a nice job of handling the double move. Hard guy to shake. Can line up and play on either side. Will make receivers have to make contested catches. Nice job of high pointing the ball when tracking it. Ability to create turnovers when he gets in position.

3. Xavien Howard: Physical player in press coverage. Doesn't allow much room off the snap. Plays tight in coverage. Ability to drive on the ball and play with his off hand. Nice job of staying in position to high point the ball. Plays it well in the air. Shows nice range when he has to overlap and help. Good job of seeing the field and putting himself in position to make the play.

2. Stephon Gilmore: Plays with start-stop quickness. Will line up at both cornerback spots as well as play in the slot. Will play star coverage against the opponent's best receiver. No wasted movements. Can naturally turn and run with his man. Size will give him problems at times. Creates turnovers when he tackles. Has a feel for how to punch the ball loose.

1. Kyle Fuller: Smooth, easy pedal. Outstanding quickness out of his transition. Can really close on the ball when he sees it. Every pass is a contested one. Hard guy to separate from. Has a feel for how to carry the inside routes. Will deliver a blow when tackling. Not afraid to stick his nose in the action. Has a physical side to his game.
