Rank 'Em: Dak Prescott’s Top 10 Moments So Far
We've ranked Prescott's Top 10 performances/moments as the Cowboys' quarterback since 2016.

10. L.A. Debut (Aug. 13, 2016)
Before he became a starter, Prescott began his first training camp as the third-string quarterback. The preseason opener against the Rams proved he was destined for much more. Almost a flawless performance, Prescott went 10-of-12 for 139 yards and 2 touchdowns in limited work. Within a month, he would move into the starting role after injuries to Tony Romo and Kellen Moore. He hasn't looked back since.

9. Outstanding In Defeat (Nov. 10, 2019)
In some ways, last year's 28-24 loss to the Vikings was a microcosm of the 2019 season: a close game lost on a couple key plays and miscues. But Prescott was excellent against a physical Minnesota defense. On a night when the Vikings committed to stopping Ezekiel Elliott, Prescott threw for 397 yards (three touchdown passes to one interception) and completed nine passes of at least 20 yards, putting Dallas in position to win the game in the final minute before a turnover on downs.

8. Giant Victory (Dec. 10, 2017)
Badly needing a win to stay in the NFC playoff race after three straight blowout losses in November, Prescott threw for a career-high 332 yards and three touchdowns on the road to pull Dallas back above .500 for the first time in a month. Prescott delivered a 50-yard touchdown to Dez Bryant just before halftime, and running back Rod Smith sealed the game with an 81-yard catch and run for a touchdown in the fourth quarter.

7. OT vs. Eagles, Part I (Oct. 30, 2016)
Prescott's first career overtime victory. Trailing 23-16 in the fourth quarter, he scored the game's final two touchdowns: a 22-yard pass to Dez Bryant to force overtime, and the winning 5-yard pass to Jason Witten in the extra frame.

6. Different Story (Nov. 18, 2018)
What a difference a year makes. The year before, Prescott was sacked a career-high eight times in a frustrating loss at Atlanta – the start of a three-game slide that ultimately knocked them out of playoff contention. This time, Prescott calmly led the Cowboys on a 10-play, 52-yard drive ending in Brett Maher's deciding field goal as time expired. The victory got Dallas back to .500. A month later, they clinched the NFC East title.

5. The Throw (Dec. 30, 2018)
Maybe the best pass of Prescott's career so far: on fourth-and-15, rolling to his left past Giants pass rushers, he fired a perfect 32-yard touchdown pass to a diving Cole Beasley in the back of the end zone. Then he converted a two-point conversion to beat the Giants in the final seconds. Sure, the Cowboys had already wrapped up home-field advantage before this regular-season finale. But this was Prescott at his late-game best.

4. OT vs. Eagles, Part II (Dec. 9, 2018)
If you thought Prescott's first career overtime win over the Eagles was a wild ride, add Amari Cooper to the equation. In his sixth game with the Cowboys, Cooper caught three touchdown passes from Prescott in the fourth quarter and overtime, including the deciding 15-yard score in the extra period. Prescott's 455 passing yards were the most ever by a Cowboys quarterback in a win.

3. Lambeau Leap Forward (Oct. 16, 2016)
In just his sixth career start, Prescott got his first signature NFL victory against an all-time great. He threw for 247 yards and three touchdowns in the Cowboys' 30-16 road win over Aaron Rodgers' Packers. Green Bay would get payback in the playoffs – a back-and-forth battle between Rodgers and Prescott – but this game cemented Dak's reputation as a poised, productive rookie starter.

2. Steel Grit (Nov. 13, 2016)
The Cowboys needed every last second to beat a powerful Steelers team 35-30 on the road – and Prescott found a way to outduel Ben Roethlisberger. He threw two touchdown passes, including a 50-yarder to Dez Bryant on third-and-11 late in the third quarter, that pushed Dallas to an 8-1 record during his dream rookie season.

1. First Playoff Win (Jan. 5, 2019)
With a 16-yard scramble on third-and-14 – diving just short of the goal line as his facemask bounced off the AT&T Stadium turf – Prescott was committed to winning this wild-card game at all costs. The Cowboys took a 10-point lead on that drive with just over two minutes left and hung on to beat Seattle. No doubt Prescott is motivated to add more postseason wins in 2020.
