Top 10: Can Martin Push Allen As Best Ever? 

While he was part of a line that featured three Pro Bowlers around him, Leary more than held his own when his number was called. He also received a big number from Denver in free agency, although the Cowboys certainly would've liked to keep him.

Like most guards, he wasn't much of a flashy player, but many of his teammates say he was the glue to an O-line that actually had three Pro Bowlers at one point. He played for just six years, but had three different head coaches from Parcells to Phillips to Garrett.

Drafted No. 2 overall by the Cardinals in 2001 as a tackle, Davis never really became the player he was supposed to be until he signed with the Cowboys as a guard. He made three Pro Bowls from 2007-09 and at times was a dominant player.

He spent nine seasons with the Cowboys and landed himself in a couple of Pro Bowls, while also winning a Super Bowl ring. He and John Niland were two of the best guards in all of football, playing for the same team for nearly a decade.

Sometimes overlooked by more heralded players, Scott still made three Pro Bowls and started at guard on the Cowboys' Super Bowl XII team in the 1977 season, as he enjoyed a 10-year career in Dallas.

Only one other player has more Pro Bowls for the Cowboys at the guard position than Niland, who was one of the NFL's best interior linemen during his career and one of the first great in Cowboys history. His six Pro Bowls occurred in a six-year run from 1968-73.

While he played some tackle early in his career, Newton found a home at guard and was one of the anchors to that dominant line of the 90s. His six Pro Bowls can't be overlooked, just like his three Super Bowl rings he helped the Cowboys obtain in the decade.

There is some projection with this ranking considering he's made four All-Pro selections in every year of his young career. If Martin continues this pace throughout the length of the contract, it's likely he will be in the conversation to one day be named the best guard ever.

One of the greatest offensive linemen in NFL history, Allen proved that with his first-ballot Hall of Fame induction back in 2013. Known for his speed to chase down a linebacker as a rookie, or bench-pressing 700 pounds, Allen made 10 Pro Bowls, mostly at guard, and has a firm grip on being the best all-around lineman in Cowboys history.

While he came to the Cowboys as a defensive player, Peterson not only made the transition to offense, but was a staple on the offensive line. He even spent some time at tackle, but was a solid guard during the first half of the 1980’s decade.
