Honorable Mention - Caleb McSurdy: An Achilles injury in training camp wiped out the seventh round pick's season, but he should be healthy enough to compete again by the start of this year's camp and should benefit from the 4-3 switch.

10. Ben Bass: Another player that should benefit moving to a 4-3, Bass wasn't big enough to play nose in the 3-4. Here, his quickness should be showcased as a tackle who can get up the field and rush.

9. Danny Coale: After a rookie season marred by injury, Coale will get a chance to work into the receiver rotation. With Kevin Ogletree likely out of the mix, the 5th-round pick will compete for snaps.

8. Ron Leary: Jerry Jones recently said Leary "has a real chance" to compete for playing time this year. A year on the practice squad should give Leary a shot to contend for time at guard and possibly center.

7. Lance Dunbar: The undrafted rookie from North Texas gave the Cowboys something they didn't have at tailback - pure speed. He's a quick, shifty back that will vie for time in the backfield.

6. Kyle Wilber: Injuries to his finger and thumb slowed his progress early. By the time the season began, it was hard for him to catch up. He'll factor in as an outside linebacker or situational pass rusher.

5. Cole Beasley: Some might argue for him to be higher on this list. He'll be a serious contender as a 3rd receiver. There's a spot for good route-runners with soft hands in the NFL, and he proved it last year.

4. Matt Johnson: Johnson was snake bitten by injuries, with three separate hamstring issues stunting his progress. Look for him to have a shot to compete for a starting job, assuming he can stay healthy.

3. James Hanna: He only hauled in eight passes for 86 yards, but by the end of the season, it was clear the sixth-round pick from OU had caught on nicely. He's expected to be the No. 2 tight end this year.

2. Tyrone Crawford: The switch to a 4-3 could benefit Crawford. He looks like a solid fit at defensive end opposite Ware, depending on what happens with Anthony Spencer. But he'll get on the field, regardless.

1. Morris Claiborne: As the No. 6 overall pick, he's expected to be a stud for years to come. The rookie had some struggles, but progressed as he saw teams a second time.
