Hey Cowboys Fans!
I am beyond excited for my sixth season with the Dallas Cowboys Rhythm and Blue Dancers! Nothing makes me happier than having the chance to be part of the legacy of the first co-ed dance team in the NFL.
I was born in Matthews, North Carolina and Raised in Charlottesville, Virginia. For college, I attended The University of Alabama where I received my Bachelor's degree in Dance as well as a minor in Nutrition. I also had the honor of being a member of The Alabama Dance Team for the entirety of my college attendance. In my downtime, I enjoy exercising, playing with my two cats, and being in the company of my friends.
I feel so lucky to have the opportunity to continue my professional dance career with the Cowboys and I am so grateful for the support I have received in doing so. I couldn't have accomplished this dream without the love and support of my family and friends.
Thank you, Cowboys Nation! I can't wait to spend another season with the greatest fans in the NFL all while living out my dreams with DCRB.
Go Cowboys!
-Peyton
Number of years on the team: This is my sixth season with DCRB!
Prior Dance/Entertainment Industry Experience: I grew up dancing competitively, was a member of the Alabama dance team for 4 years, and received my degree in dance
Nicknames: Pey, PP, papa, and p-dawg
Hometown: Charlottesville, VA
I dance because: I love performing in front of a crowd. Being able to bring people together and feel collective joy and excitement through our art form is such a beautiful experience to be a part of.
What I like to do most besides dance is: I love to go to the gym. I got really into weightlifting after having knee surgery a few years ago and it's grown into a passion of mine. I also like to play with my cats, go vintage shopping, and read outside:)
I've always wanted to: Become a backup dancer for concert tours! It would be such a dream to be able to travel the world and do the thing that I love most.
Advice to Youngsters: Give yourself grace and speak kindly to yourself. Holding yourself to a high standard isn't a bad thing, but don't expect perfection 100% of the time. Messing up is an important part of growing, both in your craft and as a person, and you deserve the space to improve. If you find that you're being hard on yourself, just ask, would I be ok with someone speaking to my friends the way I'm speaking to myself? If the answer is no, take a breath and remember to be gentle with yourself because you deserve kindness. We can't control everything and that is OK.
My biggest role model is: My sister, Kelsey. She has always been so well spoken, so smart, and so levelheaded when faced with adversity while still being able to maintain her sense of humor. I've spent my life admiring her and when I'm faced with problems, I try to think of how she would approach them.
What I enjoy most about being a DCRB Dancer is: Being surrounded by such funny, kind, hardworking people. I have grown so much as a person because of my teammates, admiring their ability to balance their work ethic and tenacity with their kindness and generosity.
Favorite Cowboys player past or present: CeeDee Lamb
Favorite Performer: Parris Goebel and the Royal Family. Watching her videos in high school is what made me realize that I wanted to dance professionally.
Favorite Music: I love 90's and Early 00's rock and punk, 70's inspired grooves, as well as more modern rap, pop, and rock. Music and concerts are something that my dad and I have always bonded over- together, we've seen the Offspring, Blue Oyster Cult, Iron Maiden, and Metallica. Going to those shows has allowed me to be really open to genres I might not have listened to otherwise.
Favorite Quotes: "What happened yesterday is history. What happens tomorrow is a mystery. What we do today makes a difference." -Nick Saban
The three guests I would invite to my fantasy dinner party are (dead or alive): If I could invite any 3 guests to a dinner party, I would invite Aubrey Plaza, Jeff Goldbloom, and Ayo Edebiri.
