After spending 11 seasons in the Personnel Department, Ross Wuensche was elevated to a national scout in 2022. As a national scout, Wuensche primarily covers schools in states that are west of the Mississippi River. He also assists with the evaluation process of players from the east in the months leading up to the NFL Draft.
Before becoming a national scout, Wuensche spent seven years as an area scout, mining collegiate programs for talented players. From 2015-18, he covered the Midwest and Big Ten schools before moving to the West Coast for the 2019-21 seasons.
Prior to joining the Cowboys, Wuensche worked for Texas A&M football. He graduated from A&M with a sports management degree and a minor in business. He is from Dallas, Texas, and attended Denton Guyer High School.
Wuensche and his wife, Courtney, married in June 2019 and have three dogs: Pudge, Kodak and Luca.
