FRISCO, Texas — The time for soul searching has begun for the Dallas Cowboys, and that means the upcoming matchup against the New York Giants is the most pivotal of the young 2024 season; and largely due to a two-game slide at home that has them sitting at 1-2 with their first divisional matchup set for primetime.
It's not as easy as assuming the Giants are a team that can be overlooked because, as it stands, the Cowboys are still working desperately to get back to playing at the standard that saw them produce 12 wins in each of the previous three seasons.

And, quiet as it's kept, the Giants are coming off of a victory over the very same Cleveland Browns that allowed the Cowboys to have their way in Week 1 at Huntington Bank Stadium, which is to say no one truly knows which version of each team will show up on Thursday.
That makes this must-see TV, especially for those wondering if the Cowboys can prove themselves contenders in the NFC who are simply having a rough September.
