FRISCO, Texas — There was nothing to enjoy in the battle with the Philadelphia Eagles but, for the next and final Dallas Cowboys' contest of 2024, you are gonna wanna save the date. The NFL has officially released the details for the regular season finale between the Cowboys and the Washington Commanders, their matchup in Week 18 having been a glaring "to be determined" prior to now.

But no more, as the two are set to go head-to-head at AT&T Stadium on Sunday, Jan. 5 at noon CT.

Anyone who watched the first clash between these longtime rivals were treated to what remains as the most jaw-dropping game of the entire NFL season, and that's not an exaggeration by any means.

The Cowboys walked into Northwest Stadium as underdogs in Week 12, having lost five consecutive games and a list of star players to injury, only to stifle Jayden Daniels and the Commanders' offense for most of the contest.

A low-scoring game at halftime, each having produced only one field goal, turned into a full-blown shootout before it was all said-and-done.

A total of 54 combined points were scored in the second half alone, as haymakers were landed time and again, but a career-best 99-yard kickoff return from KaVontae Turpin and a 43-yard onside kickoff return by Juanyeh Thomas that sandwiched an 86-yard touchdown catch from Daniels to Terry McLaurin sealed the game for the Cowboys.

They've since used that as a catapult to land multiple upsets thereafter.

What will the next and final fight between the Cowboys and Commanders provide, as Quinn returns to Arlington for the first time since departing for Washington?

Regardless of who Quinn decides to sit or play, there will be a battle between these bitter enemies.

Ring the bell.
