Trevon Diggs, Zack Martin both ruled out for Sunday's game

As the Cowboys head to Washington D.C., they will be without a couple of key veterans who didn't make the trip.

Both Zack Martin and Trevon Diggs will not play against the Commanders as they were ruled out before Saturday's trip.

Martin has played in all 10 games this season but has dealt with several injuries. This past week against Houston, Martin left the game with an ankle injury. He was on the injury report all week with both an ankle/shoulder and did not practice. Yet on Friday he was listed as doubtful but has been ruled out. The Cowboys will likely play either Brock Hoffman or T.J. Bass to replace Martin at right guard.

As for Diggs, who has also played in all 10 games this year, he showed up on the injury report Thursday with both groin/knee injuries. He was limited on Thursday and Friday and listed as questionable on the last injury report. But he was also downgraded and has been ruled out.

Once again, it leaves the Cowboys shorthanded at cornerback despite DaRon Bland expected to play for the first time this year.

Without Diggs, the Cowboys could use the likes of Josh Butler, Israel Mukuamu or Kemon Hall, who was elevated from the practice squad.
