OXNARD, Calif. — The Dallas Cowboys have made two additions to the roster in the beginning stages of training camp, as they signed wide receivers Deontay Burnett and Kelvin Harmon after successful workouts on Saturday.

The two additions serve as needed depth at the wide receiver position in the absence of CeeDee Lamb while he continues his training camp holdout and following a minor injury to rookie Ryan Flournoy that kept him with the rehab group during Friday's practice.

Burnett, who is originally from Southern California being born and raised in Compton, attended USC before going undrafted in 2018. He has spent time with the Tennessee Titans, New York Jets, San Francisco 49ers and Philadelphia Eagles during his NFL career, as he has totaled 15 receptions for 210 yards in eight games of action.

After his stint with the Eagles ended in 2020, Burnett found a home with the Houston Roughnecks of the XFL in 2023 before landing with the Arlington Renegades of the UFL in 2024. This past spring season, Burnett hauled in 33 receptions for 306 yards and two touchdowns for the Renegades.

Harmon, a sixth-round pick of the Washington Commanders in 2019 out of North Carolina State, is originally a native of Liberia before moving to New Jersey as a young child. His professional career saw him spend three seasons in Washington before signing with the Philadelphia Stars of the USFL in 2023 and the DC Defenders of the UFL in 2024.

The 365 career yards for Harmon in the NFL immediately place him fourth amongst Cowboys wide receivers in career yardage.

The two signings worked out on Saturday afternoon alongside wide receiver Terrell Bynum and quarterback Reid Sinnett, neither of whom were signed at the conclusion of the workout.
