After suffering a devastating knee injury in his last game playing for Notre Dame, Jaylon Smith worked relentlessly to get himself physically ready to play, and succeed, in the NFL. Foregoing his remaining eligibility, Smith declared for the NFL Draft in 2016 where he was eventually selected by the Cowboys in the second round.
Fast forward three years: Smith is continuing to work relentlessly at bettering himself on and off the football field. Smith announced that he is returning to Notre Dame this spring to finish his degree in Film and Television. He is ready to prove that he is more than just an athlete.
Smith has always been one to show love for his alma mater, so we can only imagine how much this means to him to return to campus.
Smith is expected to graduate and walk in May.
