I have read a lot about the undrafted receivers (Jon'Vea Johnson, Jalen Guyton) but have not read too much Cedrick Wilson, who looked good last year before getting hurt. How has he looked so far? Do you think he has a good chance of making the 53 or more likely the practice squad? - TOMMY ADAMS / HANOVER, PA
Bryan: Starting to see more of Wilson. He's been slow to get going but now finding his way. Looking more comfortable and confident. Needs to start stacking some days,
Rob: Wilson made an outstanding diving, and heavily-contested, touchdown catch against Donovan Olumba in one-on-one drills. Defensive backs coach Kris Richard told Olumba afterward, "Great coverage. Great catch." Wilson might be a downfield burner in the same realm as Johnson or Guyton, but he was productive at Boise State and can play inside or out. He's got a chance to make a move in the preseason games.
The Cowboys have full load of defensive end hopefuls this training camp, but they seem thin at strong-side linebacker. Are none of the defensive ends trying to earn a roster spot capable of playing stand-up strong-side linebacker? I would think a bigger man would be ideal in that spot for run defense. - G MILLER / MASTIC, NY
Bryan: Not thin at all at SAM. Love what I've seen from Joe Thomas, and keep an eye on Luke Gifford. Both doing some nice things.
Rob: I thought Jalen Jelks could be that guy who could play both spots. Then I saw him in person and realized he might be thin at 260 pounds, but he's definitely built like a defensive end. None of the ends in camp jump out at me as a strong-side linebacker, to be honest. It's a question I'll ask, though.
