With their last selection in the 2023 NFL Draft (seventh round, 244th overall), the Dallas Cowboys selected wide receiver Jalen Brooks out of South Carolina. Brooks started his collegiate career at Division II Wingate (N.C.) and also had a brief stint at Tarleton State before spending his final three seasons with South Carolina. After joining the Gamecocks in the fall of 2020, Brooks started 22-of-24 games at the Division I level and logged 58 career receptions for 785 yards and two touchdowns. Brooks is a strong, physical wideout who will compete for a role.
