Impressive jump off the snap and moves very well laterally. Agility is his main selling point, as he’s able to shoot the gap and win hand-fights. Keeps his footwork clean despite being asked to do a lot on the Ohio State defensive line. | Extremely undersized for the position, doesn’t really fit as a 3-technique or an edge rusher. True “tweener” build. Not going to anchor the line. Very limited in action and production in his time with the Buckeyes, only starting 11 times over three years. |
OVERVIEW: The once highly recruited two-way lineman from Northern Ohio found his way into playing time with the Buckeyes almost immediately. However, he had to wait until his junior season to finally see significant action as a starter in 2023. He finished his career with 45 tackles, 10 for loss and six sacks over 28 games. Those numbers were good enough for third-team All-Big Ten honors and to declare for the NFL Draft. Due to his unorthodox build for the position, the biggest question teams will have to answer will be how to use him.
