Has the physical profile to warrant versatility and growth at the next level. Polished run blocker who keeps leverage off the snap and uses his length to succeed on reach blocks. Moves extremely well for someone his size and has a lethal streak to his game. Doesn’t want to stop rolling. | Plays with cinder blocks in his shoes on certain reps. Slow footwork that hindered his ability to adjust and reset against quicker defenders. He showed improvement in this category as the season went on, but still has some growing to do on the fundamental front. |
OVERVIEW: Excelled in a gap-heavy scheme at South Dakota State and paved the way for a national championship-caliber rushing attack. Allowed just three sacks over his five years with the Jackrabbits, leading the way as an FCS first-team All-American as well. The one knock is when teams want to see heavy hands and light feet, he instead gives them heavy hands and heavy feet. Mostly a fundamental oversight that can be corrected in the right coaching situation, but a tough habit to break at the next level.
