Length, athleticism and power all tied into one. His unique combo jumps out on film as a dominant force in the run and passing games. Possesses anchoring ability and is extremely quick off the line. Clean fundamentals and one of the best kick-slides in the class. | Could see some improvement in his punch at the point of attack. Lacks fundamental power at times, mostly due to occasional balance issues. Labored against some of the stronger edge rushers in the SEC, allowing interior pressure. |
OVERVIEW: Unlike some of the other top prospects in this offensive line class, Latham was expected to be here from the jump. One of the top prospects in the country out of high school, he lived up to the sky-high expectations with the Crimson Tide. Tallied 25 starts at left tackle over the last two seasons and finished with 41 pancake blocks across 813 total snaps. Also allowed just two sacks in over 400 pass sets. He emerged as one of the meanest and more consistent forces in college football – two things teams salivate over in the NFL.
