Ideal frame for an offensive tackle with outstanding athletic traits as well. Moves well for as much mass as he needs to carry around. Packs a powerful punch on initial contact and is versatile enough to win combats as an anchor or as a run blocker. | Sometimes appears stiff in his movement. Has the ability to get there on some plays, but will have inconsistent reps where he leaves the pads up high and struggles on the first step of his kick-slide. Would love to see more finishing ability. |
OVERVIEW: This year's Rimington-Pace Big Ten Offensive Lineman of the Year was an absolute force. Over his 365 pass blocking snaps, he didn't allow a single sack. He overcame all the odds by pushing into a starting role by the team's 2021 bowl game, despite being rated as a three-star recruit out of high school. From that point forward, he was the leader on the offensive line and named a team captain in 2023. Playing against some of the best defensive lines in college football rarely challenged Fashanu. We'll see if that stays the same in the NFL.
