Looks comfortable while progressing through reads in the pocket. Uses his eyes to look off defenders and make opportunities for his receivers. Runs well and will use his legs to create chances as well. Strong enough arm to make the professional throws. | May take some time to adjust to the NFL systems he will land in. Mostly ran RPO reads and could see a change when going through reads at the next level. Will need some coaching for footwork and how to handle pressure as a whole. |
OVERVIEW: Sixty college games and nearly 4,000 snaps later, Nix is finally ready to make the NFL jump. After a rocky start to his career at Auburn, he reinvented himself and became one of the most prolific passers in college football history at Oregon. He improved every season in college as he finished the 2023 season with 4,508 yards, 45 touchdowns and just three interceptions. He had the benefit of playing behind one of the best offensive lines in football, so it'll be a challenge for Nix to handle pressure when he doesn't have a clean pocket.
