Shifty and elusive with the ball in his hands. Has elite lateral quickness that left defenders searching for more. Very patient in looking for space and reading a scheme. Will hit the gap with confidence and power. Strong with a full head of steam in doing so. | Tall runner, susceptible to tackles when making a read. Doesn’t blow anyone away athletically. Plays more of a cerebral game than a speedster or power back game. He’ll have to add another element or two to his bag if he hopes to make a roster. |
OVERVIEW: As an FCS lifer, it was clear that Davis was destined for a higher level of competition. He finished his career with more rushing touchdowns (50) than games played (46) and posted an average of 99 yards per outing to go along with 6.7 yards per carry. He was a massive key to the Jackrabbits title runs and was rewarded with a trip to the Senior Bowl and combine, where he put on a show as well. His versatile background should be enough to have his name called on draft weekend. If not, he'd be a steal as an undrafted free agent.
