Strong runner and pairs with some incredible straight-line speed with the ball in his hand. Runs through contact with a full head of steam and is reminiscent of a locomotive between the tackles. His 6-foot-1 and 223-pound frame will translate well. | Not the shiftiest runner in the class. Won’t leave tacklers in the dust or shake defenders out of their shoes. Because of this, he’s not the cleanest route runner in the passing game either. Relies on his contact and physicality to gain extra yardage. |
OVERVIEW: There were times in his final season with the Seminoles that Benson was a one-man band and go-to playmaker. Other times he'd get himself in trouble with inviting contact that could lead to missed snaps or even games. Overall, if he can remain healthy and durable (which his body-type suggests he can), he'll be a reliable ball-carrier for years to come. Benson finished his junior season with 906 rushing yards and 14 rushing touchdowns on just 156 attempts.
