After a week in Mobile at the Senior Bowl in late January that saw him stamp his spot as one of the top safeties in the class, Brade garnered praise for his IQ at the safety position and how he made everyone around him better in limited time at the event. | His experience in mostly split-safety looks sees him probably being limited to that scheme fit at the next level. While his man and zone coverage abilities are up to NFL standards, he doesn’t excel enough at either to be a specialist in certain packages up top. |
OVERVIEW: A versatile safety who can play either free or strong at the next level – and maybe some slot as well – Brade's stocky frame at 6 feet, 203 pounds makes him an intimidating presence for pass-catchers to see across the middle of the field. Credited for being a big locker room guy in his time with the Terrapins, Brade's off-field presence stood out to scouts at the NFL Scouting Combine when meeting with him. While his safety responsibilities may take him out of plays closer to the line of scrimmage, he still managed to lead Maryland in tackles in each of his last two seasons.
