The speed and instincts of Taylor-Demerson makes his presence difficult to find success against as an opposing offense. Thanks to his instincts and closing speed (4.41 40 yard-dash), he’s a pest in the secondary who can cover a lot of ground. | The size will be the biggest question mark around Taylor-Demerson as he heads to the NFL, as his 5-foot-10, 197-pound frame shows up in his inconsistency in making open-field tackles. However, his aggressive play-style will show up with big hits on occasion. |
OVERVIEW: A product of one of Oklahoma's top high school programs (Carl Albert High School in Midwest City), Taylor-Demerson made the transition from running back to safety in Lubbock and brought speed and maturity to the secondary at Texas Tech over his five seasons and 50 games. As a senior, Taylor-Demerson was flying around the field defensively in accounting for 73 tackles, four interceptions and 12 pass breakups on his way to being a Second-Team All-Big 12 selection in 2023.
